Which boards are the best cutting boards, plastic, timber, glass or rubber?

Timber – because it’s a natural, renewable product which has inherent antibacterial properties meaning they are safer than plastics/glass

After I use my board, I see cutting marks, is this bad?

With time and use your board will get knife marks, this is in no way bad it’s just something that happens to timber with use. Remember, this is what you bought it for – to be cut on, it adds a bit of charm and character.

Is your timber responsibly sourced?

Yes, all our timber is sourced in accordance with Australian and Queensland Legal statutes. We control sourcing of raw materials, legal timber, proper permits have been acquired, respecting the tree and species and local regulations.

What are some benefits of solid, long-grain boards over glued, laminated boards?

Natural solid timber products are good for the environment because they are renewable. They are often referred to as carbon sinks due to the tree’s absorption of CO2 from the atmosphere. Our products are sustainable because there are no amounts of adhesives or energy consuming presses used to produce our boards. Our production process relies heavily on natural air seasoning.
